Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 27, 2026
Fox Games (foxgames.page) is run by Fox Point Digital, Inc., a company based in Canada. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Fox Games, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to keep it short and plain.
The short version
- You can play every game without an account. We only collect personal information if you sign in.
- When you sign in we keep your email address, a display name, and what's needed to keep you signed in.
- We don't use passwords, ads, analytics or tracking cookies, and we never sell your information.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
If you create an account
- Email address — to identify your account and send you sign-in codes and links.
- Display name — created from your email address when you first sign in (for example, jane.doe@example.com becomes jane_doe). It will be shown publicly next to your scores on leaderboards.
- Google account ID — only if you sign in with Google. Google tells us an ID for your account and your email address; we don't receive your contacts, files or anything else from Google.
- Sign-in sessions — for each device you're signed in on, a session record with a short description of your browser (its "user agent"), so we can keep you signed in and let you sign out everywhere.
- Game progress and scores — when a game saves your progress, we store it with your account. For some games (such as Fox Dig's daily cave) this includes a recording of the moves of your best run, which we use to check the score.
From every visitor
- IP address — used briefly to limit how many sign-in emails and code attempts can come from one place, to prevent abuse. We don't store it in our database. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes it to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
If you play without signing in, the games may save progress in your own browser's storage. That stays on your device; we don't receive it.
Cookies
We only use cookies needed for signing in. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
fg_at | Proves you're signed in, to foxgames.page and each game | 15 minutes, renewed automatically |
fg_rt | Renews your sign-in without asking you again | 90 days from last use |
fg_last | Remembers whether you last signed in with Google or email, to highlight it on the sign-in page | 1 year |
fg_oauth | Protects a Google sign-in while it's in progress | 10 minutes |
How we use your information
Only to run Fox Games: to sign you in, keep you signed in, save your progress and scores, show your display name on leaderboards, prevent abuse, and respond to you when you contact us. We don't use it for advertising and we don't sell or share it for marketing.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run Fox Games. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and our database.
- Amazon Web Services — sends sign-in emails.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Where your information is stored
Our database is hosted by Cloudflare in eastern North America. Our providers may process information in other countries, including the United States, so it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
How long we keep it
- Your account (email, display name, progress and scores) — until you ask us to delete it.
- Sign-in codes and links — they stop working after 15 minutes and are deleted within about a day.
- Sign-in sessions — end after 90 days without use, or when you sign out, and are deleted 30 days after that.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it; or
- delete your account and its information.
Email privacy@foxgames.page from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days. These rights come from Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA); if you're in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.
You can also simply stop using your account, or clear cookies in your browser to sign out of that device.
Children
Anyone can play the games, but accounts are not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We don't use passwords. Sign-in codes, links and session tokens are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, cookies are sent only over encrypted connections, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we'll let signed-in users know.
